Description
Commissioned by TheFirstNL. The pinky of one of her doll's hands had broken off and required fixing. She also found a small snake ring she wanted to get fitted to support the finger and hide the "scar".
Glueing the finger was easy enough, but the ring, being very small and very brittle, broke when I tried to re-shape it. So instead, I used some epoxy putty to mimic it, sculpted directly to the hand for maximum support and fit. While the clay was still sticky, I brushed some copper powder onto it, and now it looks convincingly metallic.
A little local repair to the blushing and hide the scar as well as possible (some copper got into it, so it was quite visible dark line), and voilá.
