I cut her body into pieces!
The belly part will get rounded shapes at the top and bottom, allowing the torso to bend and twist once the doll is strung.
~Background info: Seraphim the firefox is going to be a double-jointed BJD, standing about 55 cm tall. She will have interchangeable heads (one fox, one human) and removable ears and tail. This is the first doll of which I'm carefully documenting the making process. I hope to cast her resin versions for sale of her once she's done. ~
